Crypto report

Cryptocurrencies are measured differently from stocks: because they have no balance sheet, profit or dividend, ratios such as P/E or P/B are meaningless here. Instead you look at market rank, distance from the peak, circulating supply ratio and volume relative to market value. That is why crypto sits in its own section, separate from stocks.

Crypto markets are highly volatile and trade around the clock, including weekends. Data comes from CoinGecko and may be delayed. This is not investment advice.

Is inflation eroding your money?

The quoted interest rate may sound high, but what remains after inflation? Enter your offer below to calculate the real return.

Withholding tax can vary by product, purchase date and term. Enter the bank's gross annual interest and the applicable withholding rate separately. Inflation is an assumption; check the latest annual CPI at TÜİK and update the assumption. Past inflation does not guarantee future inflation.

What are the investment options?

Term deposit

You deposit money for an agreed term and receive interest. Deposit protection applies only up to the relevant limit.

The return is agreed in advance. Early withdrawal can reduce interest, and inflation can erode the return.

Government bonds and treasury bills

These instruments lend money to the government in return for interest. Bonds have longer terms than treasury bills and can be bought through a bank or broker.

Tax treatment depends on the instrument, purchase date and investor. Verify current terms with your bank or broker. Selling before maturity can cause a loss.

Inflation-linked bond

These government bonds link payments to a specified inflation index and aim to preserve purchasing power. The result depends on the bond terms, purchase price, taxes and holding period.

They may appeal when inflation is high or uncertain. If inflation is lower than expected, a fixed-rate bond may deliver a higher return.

Investment fund

A portfolio manager allocates money across assets such as shares, bonds or gold. Funds can diversify an investment without selecting each asset yourself.

Daily fund prices and historical returns are published on the official platform TEFAS. Management fees reduce returns; past returns do not guarantee future results.

Lease certificate (sukuk)

A security based on an asset's lease income, designed for interest-free investment. Governments and companies issue it.

Payment terms are defined in the issue documents. Verify applicable taxes, price risk and issuer risk with your bank or broker.

Gold, currencies and equities

These assets do not offer a fixed return. Gains and losses are possible. Returns above inflation are not guaranteed; risk and return depend on the asset and holding period.
